How to Use the USB With the W385

The Motorola W385 is a low-end cell phone that features a camera and Bluetooth options. The W385 can be connected to a computer to download the captured images, which can be done through a USB data cable and the appropriate driver (available for free from Motorola) installed onto the computer.

Things You'll Need

  • USB data cable
  • Open the Internet browser and navigate to the Motorola driver download page (see "Resources").

  • Click the "Download" link to download the driver to the phone. Double-click the downloaded driver to load the installation wizard. Follow the prompts of the installation wizard to completely install the driver onto the computer.

  • Insert the USB data cable into the power port on the Motorola W385. Insert the other end of the cable into one of the USB ports on the computer.

  • Power on the cell phone (the computer will note it has detected the removable device). Click "Start," "(My) Computer," then double-click the removable device icon to access all the files stored on the phone.
