How to Fix a Plastic Fuel Tank
A good short-term solution for a broken plastic fuel tank is to fix it yourself. While buying a new one should be your ultimate goal, repairing it will allow you to keep using it until you can replace it. There are three main ways to fix a plastic fuel tank: soldering it, pasting it and taping it. All three of these have their own strengths and weaknesses, and none of them are particularly difficult. Precision Repairs

Use a speed tip welder for repairs in areas like corners and other hard-to-reach places.

Heat the welder up.

Push the end of the welder into hard-to-reach areas to seal cracks and small holes.
Easier Repairs

Purchase a repair kit and or sealing tape for easier, less-precise repairs.

Use sealing tape if you want a less-precise repair. Put the tape over the crack or small hole.

Use the repair kit for a longer-term solution.

Sand the crack or hole and area around it with the enclosed sandpaper.

Apply the adhesive sealant (called epoxy) with the enclosed brush. Let it dry for 20 minutes.
