Instructions

      Download and install either Digital Video Repair, DivFix or DivXRepair and open the application.

      Select the AVI file that you wish to repair by clicking the "File" button at the top left portion of the user interface and open it. Dragging the AVI file into the user interface windows is an alternative method for loading the broken files.

      Click "Rebuild Index" or "Fix" to repair the damaged file(s) that you have selected. The amount of time that will be needed to repair the file depends on the size of the file and the program itself. Your AVI file will be restored and kept in its original location.
