Go to the Texas Workforce Commission's Unemployment Benefits Services website (listed in the Resources) and click the "Apply for Benefits" link located under the "Apply for Benefits" section.

Click the "Sign Up for User ID" link to obtain log-in information. Type all personal information and navigate through the screens.

Enter your Social Security number and click "Yes" for the question that asks "Are you going to apply for Unemployment Benefits today?" You will be directed to a page titled "General Information." Read over the page and click "Next" at the bottom of the screen.

Fill in all of the required information. Navigate through all of the pages (as of 2010 there are three) by clicking "Next" at the bottom of each page after you have entered all of your information.

Click "Submit" on the "Review and Submit" page after reviewing all of your information. After you click "Submit," you will be taken to a page titled "Next Steps." This page will detail how to submit for unemployment payment and will give you a number to call to verify your information.
