How to Remove Doubleclick From Web Pages

Doubleclick tracks the web pages you view.

Doubleclick is a cookie that is designed to monitor and record Internet activity. The information is then sent to a parent company and used to generate targeted advertisements. For example, if you view a web page about hiking and a web page about dogs, you may be sent an unsolicited pop-up advertisement concerning hiking gear for dogs. If you prefer more privacy than Doubleclick allows, you can remove Doubleclick from your computer.

Instructions

Internet Explorer 8

1. Click on the "Start" menu and then click on "Internet Explorer."

2. Click "Tools" and then click "Internet Options."

3. Click "Settings" (under Temporary Internet Files) and then click "View Files"

4. Click "DoubleClick" and then click "Delete."

5. Close Internet Explorer.

Mozilla Firefox

1. Click on the "Start" menu and then click on "Mozilla Firefox."

2. Click on "Tools" and then "Options."

3. Click on "Privacy" and then "Show Cookies."

4. Click on "DoubleClick" and then click "Remove Cookie."

5. Close Mozilla Firefox.
