Once you have chosen the site you would like to use, create a user profile. Many sites are free to use, so you do not have to pay for this service. Enter your name, email address, and a password of your choosing to use on the site, then click "Create."

Once your account is created, you will be routed to a Baby Introduction page where you can begin to customize your online baby book. These prompts will ask you for information about your baby, such as date and time of birth and mother's/father's names. You may upload a photo from your computer or digital camera as the site background.

Next, you will be asked to add photos. You can choose to upload photos from your computer or from a Flickr or Shutterfly account, if you have one. It is not necessary to have a pre-existing photo account online, just access to digital pictures from your computer. Photos and videos of your baby can always be added at any time.

Finally, you may invite guests by email to view your new Online Baby Book. You can connect automatically through your email address book if you have Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, Hotmail, or AOL. If not, you may manually enter addresses one at a time. You can also invite friends through Facebook if you have an account. A Facebook account is not necessary.
