IMVU is a thriving 3D virtual world where users can meet, greet, interact with and live an online life with other users. Users represent themselves with an avatar (a cartoon depiction of themselves) and can build homes, families, careers and businesses in the cyberspace world of IMVU. One of the things that distinguishes IMVU from other social networking virtual sites is that they provide a "creator program" for users who are interested in designing and building "virtual assets," such as clothing or accessories for the IMVU avatar populace. In turn, the designer will earn virtual money (credits) and reputation in the IMVU universe.

Instructions

1. Learn how to use your 2D or 3D design program. The IMVU Creator program advises that users who are familiar with 2D paint programs like Flash or a 3D programs like Max will be more successful in developing virtual assets for sale in the IMVU universe.

2. Study the IMVU Virtual Good Policy, Privacy Policy and Terms of Service until you know them like the back of your hand. For legal reasons, IMVU requires all user-creators to be extremely familiar with their corporate policies. Before starting your creator career in the IMVU universe, you'll be expected to be able to verify your knowledge of these policies.

3. Buy your avatar name. IMVU requires all designers to purchase their avatar's name using credits. Once you've bought your avatar name you can virtually sign the creator agreement and begin your creator career.

4. Attend the virtual classes in the Creator Education Center. These tutorials will walk you step-by-step through how to create body parts, accessories, stickers, rooms and furniture using the IMVU design platform.
