Although Polaroid is most know for its lineup of cameras and film, the company does produce other visual equipment, including televisions. These televisions work like most other digital sets, and are capable of hooking up directly to a DIRECTV receiver. Once connected and programmed the Polaroid television is ready to display the stations received through the satellite receiver.

Instructions

      Plug the RCA audio/video cables into the "Video Out" port on the DIRECTV satellite receiver.

      Insert the other end of the RCA audio/video cables into the "Video In" connection ports on the Polaroid television.

      Power on the Polaroid television and the DIRECTV receiver. Press the "Video" button on the TV to switch it to the DIRECTV programming.

      Press the "Menu" button on the DIRECTV remote control, then choose "Options." Select "Aspect Ratio," then choose the current aspect ratio of the Polaroid TV. Select "OK" to complete the television's programming setup.
