How to Increase Font Size When Printing in Mozilla Firefox

The Mozilla Firefox web browser comes packaged with numerous features and options for you to configure and setup so that you can browse the Internet with ease. Mozilla Firefox has a print preview function that allows you to see what the page will look like when printed. Firefox prints everything in a default font that is meant to be aesthetically pleasing and conserve paper, but the font may be too small for some people to read. You can increase the printed font size by altering the page with the print preview option.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to Mozilla's homepage to download the current version of Mozilla Firefox.

    • 2

Double-click the Firefox icon on your desktop to open the Firefox browser.

    • 3

Click "File" and select "Print Preview." The page will reload, have a print setup bar at the top and will show you what the printed product will look like. Click "Portrait" on the setup bar.

    • 4

Click the box next to "Scale" and change it from "Shrink to fit" to a size larger than 100 percent.

    • 5

Click "Print" when you wish to print with the desired font size.

Tips & Warnings

  • Increasing the font size will alter the look of the pages. The information will still fit on the printed page, but more paper will be required to print a scale of 120 percent than 100 percent, for example.
