How do I Design an Easter Basket?
If you're trying to stick to a budget this Easter, you may feel dismayed by the high cost of pre-made Easter baskets at a department store. Luckily, you can save money by designing your own Easter baskets using the basic materials and treats that can be purchased individually at a much lower cost. Once your basket is together, you won't be able to tell it wasn't professionally designed.
Things You'll Need
- Basket
- Raffia
- Paper grass
- Chocolate bunny
- Plastic eggs
- Candies
- Stuffed bunny
- Coloring book
- Box of crayons
Instructions
-
-
1
Place an empty basket on a table or counter top.
-
2
Fill the bottom of the basket with colorful paper grass. You can make your own paper grass by cutting construction paper into thin strips, then scrunching it up gently.
-
-
3
Fill plastic eggs with candies, such as chocolate eggs, jelly beans or gum drops.
-
4
Place the candy-filled plastic eggs onto the paper grass.
-
5
Place a stuffed bunny or animal in the center of the grass, sitting on the plastic eggs.
-
6
Place a chocolate bunny next to the stuffed bunny. Choosing an aluminum foil-wrapped bunny will prevent chocolate from getting onto the stuffed bunny.
-
7
Place an Easter-themed coloring book into the basket along with a small box of crayons.
-
8
Tie colorful raffia into a bow onto the handle of the basket.
