How to Become an Ultrasound Tech in Indiana
Ultrasound techs are the men and women who run ultrasound equipment found in hospitals and health clinics. Ultrasound scans are sonar images that show the interior of a patient (such as a pregnant woman's child) without the need for wounding the skin. Becoming an ultrasound tech isn't difficult, even in the state of Indiana. You just need to go to school with the right courses and take the proper exam to get certified.

Get your degree. Many community colleges offer two-year degrees in ultrasound technology, and that degree will be enough to complete your first step on the path to becoming an ultrasound tech. However, if you want, you may also get a more traditional, four-year degree which focuses on ultrasound technology.

Get certified. Upon graduation from your chosen course, take the certification course offered by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. This certification should be done in the state of Indiana, if that's where you intend on working as an ultrasound tech.
