How to Tell if Coach Purses Are Real
Coach is one of the leading designer companies that offers an array of moderately priced handbags. Coach purses are often imitated because of their popularity and variety of styles. Though the purses are generally less expensive than purses sold by other major designers, they still may be more expensive than some shoppers are willing to pay. For this reason, there is a black market for knockoff Coach purses. These knockoffs, however, take advantage of the consumer because they are of lesser quality and harm Coach's profits. Does this Spark an idea?

How to Ensure Your Coach Bag Is Real
-
1
Examine the straps or handles. If they are covered in plastic, the purse is fake.
-
2
Check the "C." Many Coach purses have the Coach "C" pattern. Fake Coach purses often have a "G" that is hard to spot from far away but easily distinguishable upon closer inspection.
-
-
3
Observe the craftsmanship of the purse. The stitching should be flawless, having no gaps or loose threads.
-
4
Compare the style of the purse to other Coach purses you have seen. Purses that seem similar to styles of ones at authorized Coach distributors but are not exactly the same are most likely fakes.
-
5
Check the zipper. Coach bags use only YKK zippers. The zipper should have the YKK brand name imprinted on it.
-
6
Open the zipper to inspect the dust bag located inside of the purse. The dust bag should be of quality fabric, so feel it. It should also be dark brown, have a red drawstring, and have the words "Coach est. 1941" in a white font on the bottom-right corner.

Tips & Warnings
The best way to ensure that your Coach purse is authentic is to purchase it from an authorized Coach distributor. The "C" pattern on one half of a Coach purse should be a mirror image of the other half. The "C" should never be interrupted by stitching, and the C's should touch.
Avoid purchasing what appears to be a Coach purse from an individual claiming to be a Coach distributor who holds Coach house parties. Coach does not conduct business through this method. Avoid purchasing a Coach purse from an online site that does not have a clear picture of the product. The blurry picture may be covering up the fact that the purse is fake.
You will not be able to fully rely on the presence and positioning of the trademark "C" because not all Coach purses have this design.
