How to Merge Two Hard Drives

Merging the information contained on two hard drives to a single drive is a good idea, for organization purposes, if your larger drive has sufficient room to hold all of those files. Use the disk manipulation tools in your operating system to move the files from your smaller drive to your larger, completing the merge and providing you with a completely empty drive to do with as you will.

Instructions

    • 1

Right click "Start" and click "Explore."

    • 2

Click "Computer" and click on the smaller drive.

    • 3

Highlight all files on the drive and click "Ctrl" and "X" at the same time.

    • 4

Click on the larger drive and press "Ctrl" and "C" at the same time to move the cut files from the smaller drive, completing the merge process.
