How do I Make a 3-D Box Out of Paper?
Crafting a 3-D box out of paper does not require complex measuring or paper cutting. You can construct a basic 3-D box without ever having to pick up your scissors. Once you learn the techniques of this box construction, you can make as many 3-D boxes as you need for your project, or make extras to have on hand for gift giving.

Fold a 6-inch square of paper in half, pressing the fold.

Open up the paper again, and fold it the opposite way, pressing the fold.

Open up the paper again. You should see a perpendicular fold across the paper.

Arrange the square so that one corner is up, making the square appear like a diamond.

Fold the top corner in so that the point of the corner touches the middle of the page. Press the fold.

Fold the other three corners in the same manner, pressing the folds. This will create a smaller square.

Fold the left side of the square so that the edge lines up with the center. Press the fold.

Fold the right side of the square so that the edge lines up with the center. Press the fold.

Fold the top edge so that it lines up with the center. Press the fold.

Fold the bottom edge so that it lines up with the center. Press the fold.

Open up the shape again so the 6-inch square lies flat on the table with one of the corners faces upward, making the shape look like a diamond.

Fold the left and right corners in towards the middle of the diamond, pressing the folds.

Hold the left-top edge in your left hand, and bend it so that it stands upright. Repeat this process with each edge so that there are four upright corners.

Fold the upright flap at the top of the shape over to create a folded side.

Fold the upright flap at the bottom of the shape over to create the last folded side. the box is now complete.
