The System Restore service is the service on your Windows computer enabling you to reverse major system changes such as update or program installations. Move your System Restore feature to a hard drive when you wish to conserve space on another drive. This can be accomplished by moving the System Restore utility using the drive options in your operating system.

Instructions

      Right click the "Start" menu at the bottom left-hand corner of your screen and click "Explore."

      Click on "Tools," open "Folder Options," click on the "View" tab, check the box to "Show Hidden Files," and uncheck the box to "Hide Protected Files."

      Click the "C" drive (also in the Windows Explorer window), click "Windows," and click the "System Volume Information" folder.

      Select and right click the files contained therein, select "Copy," click on the location where you wish to move them, right click, and select "Paste."
