Tea Foot Soak
-
1
Pour two quarts of cool water into a foot basin.
-
2
Pour one quart of water into a medium-sized saucepan. Bring the water to a boil over high heat.
-
-
3
Remove the saucepan from the heat and place five black tea bags into the water. Allow the tea bags to steep for 15 minutes.
-
4
Remove the tea bags. Pour the tea into the foot basin.
-
5
Soak your feet in the tea foot soak for 30 minutes.
-
6
Repeat this process once a day for seven days. The tannins found in the tea will help shrink the sweat glands in the feet, causing them to sweat less, according to Super Foods Rx.
Other Methods
-
7
Dust your feet with baking soda every day. This will help absorb your feet's moisture, which will reduce the odor.
-
8
Wear socks made from cotton. Avoid socks made from synthetic materials, such as nylon or polyester. Cotton allows more air to reach the foot, causing a reduction in sweating and the smell associated with it.
-
9
Change your socks and shoes after vigorous activity or a full work day.
-
10
Avoid wearing the same pair of shoes several days in a row. Instead, alternate shoes and give the shoes that have just been worn a chance to dry out before being worn again.
