How to Watch TV Online From Canada

Watch television programming online while in Canada.

If you are traveling to or living in Canada, you may not have access to a cable/satellite based TV. A few different methods of watching television in Canada are available over the Internet, however. Hulu, the popular American website, is not available, but several other Internet-based television stations are online, typically without a cost to the viewer.

Instructions

1. Open the Internet browser and navigate to GlobalTV.com (see "References"). This provides dozens of different shows online, free of charge. Select the "Shows" option, then choose one from the list of available and click the episode you want to watch.

2. Navigate to CityTV.com (see "References"). This does not have as many shows provided as GlobalTV, but there are several to choose from. Click the show you want to view, then click "Play" and the video begins to play on the computer.

3. Visit CTV.CA (only available in Canada, see "References"). There are dozens of popular shows and television programming available here. As with the other websites choose the program you want to view, select the episode and click "Play" to begin the playback.
