How Do I Burn a YouTube Song to CD?

YouTube is very convenient if you are online, but offline playback is impossible. This is particularly irritating if you want to play a song or sound clip in your car or on a personal CD stereo. Using built-in Windows tools, it is possible to burn a YouTube song to CDR so that you can play it back whenever you want with a standalone CD player.

Instructions

1. Right-click the speaker icon in the system tray and click "Playback devices." Click the "Recording" tab. Right-click the window and click "Show Disabled Devices." Select "Wave-Out" or "Stereo-Out," then right-click it and click "Enable." Click "Set Default." Click "Apply," followed by "OK."

2. Click "Start," then type "soundrecorder.exe" and press enter. Click "Start," then click "Internet." Go to YouTube and open the video you want to burn to CD. Click the "Record" button in Sound Recorder, then click "Play" in YouTube. Wait for the song to play through. Click "Stop Recording." Save the file to the desktop. Close Sound Recorder and your Internet browser.

3. Double-click the audio file on your desktop to open it in Windows Media Player. Click "Burn," then "Burn Options," and click "Burn Audio CD." Drag the song from the left window into the "Burn List."

4. Insert a blank CD into your disc burner and click "Burn Disc."
