Make a slideshow out of your photos for your MySpace page.

An online slideshow is an animated photo library that walks a visitor through the pictures that you include in this feature. You have the option to include the digital images of your choice and then publish it to an Internet page such as your MySpace profile. To make a slideshow, you do not need to have graphics design or coding knowledge. Instead, use a free online resource to build your slideshow and generate the code needed to post it to your MySpace page.

Instructions

  1. Use FreeCodeSource.com

    • 1

Access the FreeCodeSource.com website (see Resources).

    • 2

Use the menus to create your slideshow. For example, enter a title in the "Slideshow Heading" section and specify a number value in "Slideshow Width" section to determine this horizontal measurement.

    • 3

Click the "Add" button in the "Number of images" section to determine how many photos appear in the slideshow. Type your picture's web address in the "Image URL" text field. Alternately, click the "Upload images" link, which presents you with a Photobucket log in page that allows you to access your pictures from your account.

    • 4

Click the "Generate Slideshow Code" button at the bottom of the page and copy the code that automatically appears.

    • 5

Log in to your MySpace account and click the "Edit Profile" link. Place your cursor in a section, such as "About Me," and paste in the slideshow code. Click the "Save Changes" button to finish adding your slideshow to your MySpace page.

    Use MyPicPals

    • 6

Bring up the MyPicPals site (see Resources).

    • 7

Click the "Create Slideshow" link and then click the "Click Here To Upload Your Photos" button that automatically appears on the page.

    • 8

Select the photos from your computer in the dialog window that opens.

    • 9

Click the "Options" button on top to access the menus that allow you to design your slideshow. For instance, click the "Transition Style" drop-down menu to determine how each photo appears and click the "Slide Duration Sec." arrows to specify how much time lapses between pictures. Click the "Save" button when done.

    • 10

Click the "Save & Publish" and then "Publish Now" buttons to generate the slideshow code. Copy the syntax that appears in the "Post" section and then paste it into a section on your MySpace "Edit Profile" page. Your slideshow now appears on your profile.

    Use QuackIt

    • 11

Point your browser to the QuackIt website (see Resources).

    • 12

Enter your slideshow information in the provided text fields. For example, enter a number value in the "Slideshow width" text area to determine the horizontal measurement and type a value in the "Number of images for the slideshow" field to specify how many photos your slideshow has.

    • 13

Type in the URL addresses of your pictures in the fields provided. Upload your photos to your own web host, or use a free photo sharing service like Flickr or Shutterfly (see Resources). Add your images to your account and obtain a web address from the "Share" section. See your particular service's "FAQ" or "Help" page if you need help finding your picture's URL address.

    • 14

Click the "Generate Code!" button and then copy the text that displays in the "Your Code" section.

    • 15

Access your MySpace "Edit Profile" page and paste in the code from Step 4. Save your work to publish the online slideshow to your MySpace page.
