Instructions

1. Wear low-heeled shoes. The higher the heel is, the more pressure there is on the ball of the foot, which can cause bunions. It's also better for your foot if the heel of the shoe is wide and sturdy, as opposed to a skinny heel.

2. Choose shoes that have a lot of wiggle room for your toes. Shoes with a pointy toe squeeze toes together in an unnatural position, which can lead to bunions.

3. Choose low-impact exercises, like swimming or biking. Running can be hard on your feet.

4. Apply an ice pack to your foot at night if you start to feel pain. This can reduce the inflammation that may already be present.

5. Put bunion cushions into shoes before you put them on. These help added comfort, so your feet don't hurt.
