How to Configure AOL Broadband
AOL software allows you to access the web using your broadband Internet connection. To configure AOL for broadband, you must first have an active and functioning broadband Internet connection from any broadband Internet service provider (ISP). AOL will connect to the Internet via your cable or DSL Internet connection.

Open the Internet Explorer browser from your computer's desktop. Verify that your broadband connection is working by attempting to access any website.

Close Internet Explorer and open the AOL software by double clicking the AOL icon on your desktop. Click the gray arrow pointing downwards next to "Location" at the sign on screen.

Click "Broadband" from the list of options that appears to connect to AOL using a broadband Internet connection. If "Broadband" is not listed as an option, select "ISP/LAN Connection" instead.

Sign on to AOL by clicking the "Sign On" button after selecting "Broadband" as your location. You will now be able to use AOL with your cable or DSL connection.

Tips & Warnings
After the initial configuration, AOL will connect using your cable/DSL connection automatically.
