How to Make a Compiled Screen Saver for the Mac
A compilation screen saver is a collection of photos you have stored in your computer. You can use compiled screen savers to display family photos, vacation pictures or simply images you like. Creating a compiled screen saver on a Mac is an easy process. The screen saver is also completely customizable, so it can be a compilation of any variety of pictures, and you can change it at any time.

Locate iPhoto on your desktop or in the Dock at the bottom of the screen. Double-click the program icon to open iPhoto.

Click the "Event" tab on the left side of the screen under "Library."

Click "New Event" at the bottom of the screen under your pictures. This will create a blank photo album at the end of your list of photo events. Double-click the name, erase "New Event" and name your event as "Screen Saver."

Click "Photos" under your Library and scroll through, selecting the images you want to add to your compilation. As you find them, drag and drop them into your new event, which is listed on the left side of the screen. When you are finished, close the program.

Select "System Preferences" from the Apple menu and go to "Desktop and Screensaver." Then select the "Screensaver" tab.

Scroll down through the menu on the left side of the screen until you find your new event. Double-click it. Select "OK."
