How do I Make a Cornucopia Paper Craft?
Cornucopias are synonymous with Thanksgiving, and are easy crafts to do with children during the month of November. Cornucopias represent the bounty that we are thankful for, and are traditionally filled with fruits and vegetables. They can be filled with anything that you are thankful for, however, especially when making it with children. They can be made simply with paper and glue.
Things You'll Need
- White paper
- Construction paper, multiple colors
- Scissors
- Glue
- Crayons or markers

1
Trace the outline of a cornucopia on a white piece of paper. This can be a very ornate shape or a simple cone, whichever you are able to draw.
-
2
Draw the outline of fruits and vegetable in the cornucopia and spilling out. Items typically seen are grapes, pumpkins, corn, squash and apples.
-
-
3
Tear or cut the colored construction paper into little squares or other shapes. Children can help with this part of the project, as it is easy and fun for them to tear paper.
-
4
Glue the colored paper onto the outlines of fruit, vegetables and the cornucopia according to color. For example, the cornucopia would be shades of brown, the apples red or green and the grapes purple.

Tips & Warnings
For a variation, draw the outlines the same as above, but let the children color them with crayons or markers, instead of gluing paper down.
Instead of cutting small colored squares, cut the fruit and vegetables out of the colored paper and glue them to the cornucopia.
Glue yarn on the back to hang the picture or attach magnets to hang it on the refrigerator.
