PokerStars is considered the largest website for playing poker with other people through the Internet, as of 2010. It features many different poker-style games, like five-card draw, Omaha and Texas Hold 'Em, among others. The website is easy to use, with simple controls and attractive graphics. However, one thing that many members have a hard time figuring out is how to delete their account permanently.

Instructions

Go to the PokerStars website and sign into your account. Make sure your bank has been cleared of all real money. Send a message to any friends you have met on PokerStars that you would like to keep in touch with or give a simple goodbye to. Sign out and close the PokerStars website.

Open your email software. Create a new email message to: support@pokerstars.com. Address the CC: address to your own email so you receive a copy of the email as well. Type "Close account" in the subject line. Request to have your account closed and provide a brief reason in the body of the email. Include your PokerStars username and email address that you used when joining the website. Press "Send."

Tips & Warnings

  • Give a simple reason for closing your account with very few details.

  • Be professional in your approach.

  • Wait a few days for a response, as it may take a while.

  • If they try to convince you to stay by giving you free plays or incentives, simply refuse them.

  • Do not provide your home address or phone number in the email. They likely already have this info in your account information. But this will make it more difficult for them to try and call or write to you and talk you into keeping your membership.

  • Do not sign on to your PokerStars account anymore once you have sent the email.
