How do I Build a Funky in Diablo 2?
A funky (or funki) in the "Diablo II" video game is a character that has used a mana hack through an editor program to gain physical immunity. The character is required to be of the Sorceress class and primarily uses the Telekinesis skill. Keep in mind that a funky can only be built from a single player or open Battle.net character and a "Diablo II" hero editor must be used. These editors, such as Hero Editor v1.03, can be downloaded from the Internet.
Things You'll Need
- "Diablo II" with "Lord of Destruction" expansion pack (v1.12 or v1.13)
- "Diablo II" Hero Editor
- New Sorceress character
Instructions
-
Preparing to Create a Funky
-
1
Create a single-player Sorceress character in-game.
-
2
Download and install a "Diablo II" Hero Editor that is compatible with version 1.12a or version 1.13.
-
-
3
Open your newly created Sorceress character in the editor.
Creating a Funky
-
4
Set the mana to 1,048,576. In-game this will translate to an off-screen value of -8,388,608.
-
5
Set the character level to 99.
-
6
Go to the skills tab and set the Telekinesis skill to 30. Set the rest of the skill set here, but do not change the Telekinesis skill.
-
7
Enable all waypoints and set all quests to complete.
Testing the Funky
-
8
Start the game with our Sorceress in "Hell Mode."
-
9
Activate the Telekinesis skill and distribute additional skill and stat points if necessary.
-
10
Use the "River of Flame" waypoint and walk to the "Chaos Sanctuary."
-
11
Notice that enemies cannot harm the sorceress. Since the Telekinesis skill will now absorb 8 points of damage per mana, your off-screen mana pool can absorb up to 8,388,607 damage, which is the highest amount of damage you can take.

Tips & Warnings
If enemies damage you, indicated by the health bar decreasing, it means that you do not have physical immunity. Often when having trouble creating a true funky, you may forget to ensure the game is up to date. Make sure "Diablo II" is patched to version 1.13 or 1.12a. It could also be a faulty character editor, so try using the "Hero Editor" listed in the references.
