How to Hide the MSN Toolbar

Perhaps you want to increase the viewing area of your Internet browser. One way to do this is to remove the MSN toolbar, now known as the Bing Bar, from your screen. Yet, you don't have to uninstall the toolbar. Instead, you can hide it so that it doesn't appear on your Internet Explorer screen. Then, when you want to use it again, you can restore it with a few clicks of your mouse.

Instructions

    • 1

Select the drop-down menu labeled "View" in Internet Explorer.

    • 2

Click "Toolbars" to see your options. Find "Bing Bar."

    • 3

Click the box next to "Bing Bar" to uncheck it, and the toolbar will be hidden from view.

Tips & Warnings

  • Repeat Steps 1 to 3 if you want to restore the MSN toolbar, or Bing Bar. When you click on the box, a check will appear, and the toolbar will reappear on your screen.
