How Do I Wear a Life Fitness Chest Strap?
The Life Fitness chest strap is one of the key components associated with a workout on Life Fitness equipment. Hold the chest strap in your hands and verify the correct direction of chest strap. The harder plastic, known as the transmitter, should be in the front. Turn the monitor strap to the front.

Wet a cloth. Wipe the cloth over the electrodes. The electrodes are the two grooved surfaces on the underside of the strap.

Remove your shirt. Place the strap as high under the chest muscles as possible. Wrap the strap around the upper body and buckle it. The strap should be snug, but comfortable enough to allow for normal breathing

Press the power button on fitness equipment. The transmitter will automatically turn on and deliver an optimal heart-rate reading when the electrodes are in direct contact with bare skin.

Tips & Warnings
Dress in lightweight fitness clothing. The chest strap can function through wet, lightweight clothing.
When the electrodes remain wet they can conduct the electrical impulses of the heart back to the receiver. If you must remoisten the transmitter, pull the strap away from your skin before adding more moisture to the electrodes.
Consult a doctor before using a Life Fitness monitor if you have a pacemaker, defibrillator, or other implanted electronic device.
