How to Find Out the Conception Day of Pregnancy
Many women wish to figure out when they conceived their child during pregnancy. However, determining the day of conception can be a tricky calculation for some women, especially if a woman has irregular cycles. Most women have menstrual cycles that are 28 days long, but some women have cycles that are shorter and some have cycles that are longer. There are a few methods to narrow down the approximate date of conception during pregnancy.

1
Calculate the length of the menstrual cycle by monitoring the number of days between menstrual cycles, if possible, before pregnancy. Write down the number.
-
2
Look at the calendar to determine when the menstrual cycle is due to begin, based on the average length of most cycles. (For example, 28 days after the last menstrual cycle is a common date for the next menstrual cycle to begin.)

3
Count 14 days prior to the estimated date when the period is due to begin. This is the approximate date of ovulation and is the likely day of conception as well.
-
4
Try an online conception calculator if you have an irregular cycle that is shorter or longer than 28 days (see Resources). Some of these websites offer due date or ovulation calculators, both of which can also be used to determine conception.
