A Flash image show can be a dynamic addition to your website. You might use it as a banner or as a picture display that corresponds with the text of the page. Adobe Flash CS3 offers many preset templates to enable you to create common projects more easily. The Photo Slideshow template can help you to create a simple image show.

Instructions

      Launch Flash CS3. Choose "File" and "New" from the menu. On the "Template" tab, choose "Photo Slideshows" from the "Category" column. The "Modern Photo Slideshow" template is highlighted. Click the "OK" button. The slideshow opens containing a complete project with four images and captions already present. You will change these to your own. Your images should be 640x480 to replace the existing ones.

      Choose "File" and "Import" and then "Import to Library..." Choose your image and click the "Open" button. Do this for each image you need.

      Click on frame 1 of the layer titled "picture layer." Click on the picture on the stage. Click the "Swap..." button in the "Properties" panel. Choose the image you'd like to insert here and click the "OK" button. Click on the caption at the bottom of the picture and insert your own caption. Do this for each picture, using frame 2 for the second picture, etc.

      Click on the title at the top and insert your own title. Test your image show by choosing "Control" and "Test Movie" from the menu.
