DVDs are a popular form of media storage and can be easily saved to an iPod Touch.

The iPod Touch is a great device for taking your media library on the go. Copying your personal DVD library to the iPod Touch is a handy way to keep your all-time favorites with you anywhere you go.

Instructions

    • 1

Download HandBrake, a free utility for video conversions (see References).

    • 2

Open HandBrake. A window will immediately ask you for the project's source. Select the DVD you wish to convert.

    • 3

Select iPhone & iPod Touch from the presets in the right column. This will optimize the video for your device's screen.

    • 4

Click on the green "Start" button to begin the conversion. Save the video to a location that is easily accessible, such as the desktop.

    • 5

Drag the converted video into your iTunes library.

    • 6

Attach your iPod Touch and synchronize to copy the movie.

Tips & Warnings

  • Dragging the converted movie to your iTunes library copies the file. The original file can be deleted from the desktop.
