How do I Obtain a California Driving Record?
In California, your driving record contains information regarding any tickets, citations and accidents in which you've been involved. Different offenses remain on your driving record for a different amount of time. Accidents are on your record for three years; convictions, such as reckless driving, are on your record for 10 years; and most other offenses remain on you record for three years. You can obtain a copy of your California driving record from any California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) location.
