How Do I Refill an HP02 Ink Cartridge for the Photosmart C6180?
The HP 02, also known as the HP #2, is an inkjet cartridge used in the HP Photosmart line of printers. Refilling this cartridge from home is a relatively simple process that you can execute with the help of a basic inkjet refilling kit, which includes replacement ink and a refilling syringe.

Position the cartridge on a flat surface so that the top label is facing upward.

Burn a small hole through the dimpled spot on the top surface of the cartridge with a soldering iron.

Fill the syringe with the proper replacement ink. For example, if the cartridge was used to hold magenta printer ink, fill your syringe with magenta replacement ink.

Position the tip of the filled syringe into the burned hole on the top of the cartridge.

Push the plunger slowly to inject the ink. Fill it to the top.

Remove the tip of the syringe from the HP 02 and immediately seal the burned refilling hole with a small dab of hot glue.

Allow the HP 02 to sit upright overnight or for at least eight hours.
