How to Get ACI or ATTI Certified
The American Concrete Institute (ACI) has 14 certifications designed for employment in the concrete construction industry. ACI certifications are recognized throughout the U.S. and Canada The Arizona Technical Training Institute (ATTI), on the other hand, was created to provide a certification program specific to Arizona Department of Transportation construction projects. ATTI offers three certifications for materials sampling and testing related to highway construction. The testing structure for both ACI and ATTI are similar, but the tests themselves are completely different. To pass the two-hour open-book written examination for ACI certification you must achieve a minimum of 60 percent correct for each of the required standards and a score of at least 70 percent overall. The performance examination requires an actual demonstration of the required standards.
For ATTI certification you must get an 80 percent on the written exam to pass. Review courses and study materials are available for each test.
