How to Fix Internet Speed Problems
Slow processing when you are browsing the Internet may be due to slow Internet speed. Slow speed is not helpful when you are working and definitely discouraging when you want to download the latest video from YouTube or pictures sent to you via email or an online photo album. In addition, speed is important for students using the Internet. More and more classrooms now use laptops, and taking most of your time to download research is counterproductive to academic success.

1
Check your system for spyware. If you do not have a program to protect your computer, you need to install one. Spyware is one of the primary reasons for slow Internet speed.
-
2
Set your Web cache to the smallest setting. This setting determines how much space is allocated to save temporary files on your computer. The more files, the slower the connection speed.
-
-
3
Keep your Temporary Internet File Settings window open and change your disk space to the minimum requirements or your personal preference.
-
4
Clear your computer of your temporary files daily. You can do this under "Internet Options" on your toolbar or clear them from your control panel by the following method.
-
5
Open your control panel. Click on "Internet Options." Go to the General tab, click "Delete Files" under the "Temporary Internet Files" section and click "OK."
-
6
Clear out any unused programs. You can find the list in the "Add/Remove Programs" menu. It may be a bit surprising to see lots of programs that you have downloaded over the months or years that are no longer needed. Get rid of them.
-
7
Run your anti-virus software to check for any viruses, as this will definitely slow Internet speed.
-
8
Reboot after all the checks and corrections have been made.
