Laptops make computing fast, easy and portable for business users, travelers and home users looking for an all-in-one option. Often the cost of a laptop makes it a convenient replacement option for home desktop computers. However, replacing parts on a laptop is a much more difficult task, and can be quite costly through a repair shop. Laptop users, including those with an Acer Aspire 3100, can replace components such as the CD/DVD drive at home with a little more effort than on a desktop.
