If you're in Las Vegas and you witness or experience a crime, you need to contact the authorities. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department will be able to fill out a police report and document the details of the crime that was committed. This will help them investigate the crime and will serve as proof that you reported the crime. 1. Call the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department at 702-828-3111. You can also visit a local substation (See Resources).

2. Request to speak to someone who can take down a police report.

3. Explain your situation and why you're filing a police report. Be specific as possible including names, descriptions, locations, dates and times.
