How to Play a Flash Video in Windows Mobile 6
Devices running Windows Mobile 6 are not capable of playing Flash video files from popular websites such as YouTube. You'll need to download a video player that supports Flash video to play those files on Windows Mobile 6. Flash video is supported by relatively few Mobile 6 media programs; however, you can download the TCPMP program or Youtubeplay program if you are running Windows 6 on a Pocket PC or the Conduit PocketPlayer if you have either a Pocket PC or a Smartphone.

View Flash video with the TCPMP Plugin

Download the TCPMP Plugin, a free software package that is designed for use on Windows Mobile 5.0 and higher devices that running on a Pocket PC 2003 (see Resources).

Open the TCPMP plugin ZIP file that you downloaded in order to unzip the files. Extract the two CAB files located within the file into a directory of your choosing.

Click on each CAB file to open it. This will install a program that can be used to download FLV files from the Internet and a program that can be used to play the FLV files on your Pocket PC.

Tap the installed TCPMP 2003 program to download FLV files from the Internet. You'll need the URL of the FLV files that you want to download.

Run the installed TCPMP 2003 plugin to view the FLV files you downloaded.
View Flash Video with Conduits PocketPlayer

Download the Conduits PocketPlayer, an all-purpose media player for Windows Mobile 6.0. It is free to try and, as of August 2010, costs $19.95 for the full version. To download, navigate your web browser to the Conduits device download website (see Resources).

Click on the drop-down menu under "Listed By Product." Select "Pocket Player 4.1" and click on the "Go" button. This will display two operating system options: Pocket PC and Smartphone. Choose the option that corresponds with your device's operating system to download the program in CAB format.

Tap the CAB file that you downloaded to install the PocketPlayer 4.1 program.

Run the installed Pocket Player program. Upon starting the program, the Player's Media Library will prompt you to automatically import supported media tracks, including FLV files located on your device.

Navigate to the Freeware Pocket PC website and download the Youtubeplay application by clicking the "Mirror Download" button (see Resources).

Tap the downloaded CAB program to install the Youtubeplay program.

Open the Youtubeplay program. Use the program's search function to locate and download the FLV Flash video that you wish to download.

View the downloaded Flash video in Youtubeplay's built-in media player.

Tips & Warnings
Be sure to download a program that is compatible with your device type; TCPMP is for Pocket PC 2003, PocketPlayer is for either Pocket PC or Smartphone, and Youtubeplay is for Pocket PC 2003.
