How to Install Wise Boat Seats

Whether you're replacing a damaged pedestal seat or upgrading one, a Wise boat seat might fit the bill. Wise bench seats are known for simple installation---drill four holes, slip in four bolts---and the Wise pedestal seats follow that simple format, with an allowance for the fact that the pedestal seat has a separate mounting plate so the seat can rotate on the pedestal.

Things You'll Need

• 4, 3/8-inch bolts and nuts
• Adjustable wrench

Instructions

1. Turn the Wise boat seat upside down. Use an adjustable wrench to bolt the seat to the universal mounting plate with the bolts provided with the mounting plate.

2. Set the seat and the attached universal mounting plate onto the seat mount on the existing pedestal. Face the seat forward. Kneel down so you can see the mounting holes on both the seat mounting plate of the pedestal and the universal mounting plate attached to the seat.

3. Slip the four 3/8-inch bolts through the mounting bolt holes of the universal mounting plate and the seat mount. Thread the nuts onto the bolts.

4. Use the adjustable wrench to tighten the nuts onto the mounting bolts.
