How to Make Leg Warmers for Raving
Raves are large parties given for and by young people. They often occur in large industrial spaces like warehouses. Throughout the night a DJ plays electronic music and the party-goers dance. Party-goers display an overwhelmingly diverse sense of style at raves---bright colors, baggy clothes and Adidas brand shoes and clothing are all popular. There is no special way to make leg warmers for raves, but they can certainly be made at home and worn to a rave, or anywhere else.

1
Cut off the feet of your knee-high socks, right before the heel. This leaves a tube of fabric. Set the tubes aside and focus on the cut-off feet.
-
2
Cut off the toe and heel of the foot of each sock. This leaves a smaller tube of fabric that will become the cuff of your leg warmer. Turn the cuffs inside out. Sew a seam up the straight side edge of each tube. Sew the seam as close to the edge of the tube as possible.

3
Fold each cuff in half with the right sides out. Turn your large tubes inside out. Place one cuff inside one tube, at the cut-off end of the tube, and make sure the right sides are together. Attach them with pins. Repeat with the other cuff and tube.
-
4
Sew the cuff and tube together by sewing a seam at the top where the pins are holding them. If your machine has a serge stitch, then serge the top. If it does not, make sure you have a seam of stitches as close to the top as possible.
-
5
Turn the tube right side out. The cuff should be securely attached to your new leg warmers.
