How do I Install a Linksys Wireless Card in Windows 98, ME and 2000?
The installation process for a Linksys wireless card is the same for Windows 98, Windows Me and Windows 2000 operating systems. The wireless card comes with a Linksys setup CD which is used to install the correct device drivers. Unlike some other driver installation packages, Linksys requires you to install the included software prior to physically installing the card into your PC.

- Linksys setup CD (included)
- Computer with available PCI slot

Insert the Linksys setup CD into your CD drive.

Click "Click Here To Start" to initiate the installation process.

Click "Next" to accept the licensing agreement.

Click "Next" and turn off your computer by clicking the "Start" menu and selecting "Shut Down."

Insert the Linksys wireless card into an available PCI slot and turn your computer back on. The Install Wizard will automatically start back up.

Select your wireless network name, or SSID, from the list and click "Connect." Click "Manual Setup" if you wish to configure your wireless card manually.

Tips & Warnings
Inserting the wireless card into your PC requires you to remove its case and physically place it into an available PCI slot. Consult your PC's instruction manual for help.
