How Do I Clean Fungus and Mold From a Cement Grave Marker?
If left untreated, concrete grave markers are susceptible to infestation by fungus and mold. This can eventually damage the grave marker and make it look less attractive. To remove fungus and mold from a cement grave marker, you will need a chemical biocide, which you can purchase at most garden stores. - Bucket
- Spray bottle
- Ammonia
- Vinegar
- Concrete protector
- Protective clothing
- Mask
- Goggles
- Gloves
- Chemical biocide
- Paint roller
- Soft cloth
- Wire brush

Put on your protective clothing, including gloves, goggles and mask.

Liberally spray a chemical biocide, such as Qualgex Surface Biocide, over the entirety of the grave marker. Rub with wire brush until fungus and mold are removed. Rinse the grave marker with water.

Spray a mixture of equal parts ammonia, vinegar and water liberally over the entirety of the grave marker surface and rub in with a soft cloth. Rinse the grave marker with water.

Apply a thin, uniform coat of concrete protector to the surface using a paint roller, ensuring there are no puddles. Rinse the grave marker with water.
