How do I Troubleshoot a Netgear WNDR3300 With No Connection to Internet?
If your Netgear WNDR3300 wireless router has no current connection to the Internet, the answer can lie in one of two places. Either your Netgear WNDR3300 wireless router is not properly connected to your modem, or the modem itself is not properly connected to the Internet. Luckily, out of all of the problems that you could encounter with a Netgear WNDR3300 a lack of Internet connection is one of the most straightforward to fix.

1
Check to make sure the Netgear WNDR3300 is properly connected to your Internet modem via Ethernet cable. An Ethernet cable should be connected to both the back of the Netgear WNDR3300 and the back of the wireless modem. This Ethernet cable is the single cable that passes the Internet connection on from the modem to the router.

2
Verify that your modem is actually connected to the Internet via a coaxial cable. A coaxial cable should run between your Internet modem and an Internet wall jack. This cable connects your modem to the Internet, and if it is not present or is not hooked up correctly the Internet connection won't be able to make it to the Netgear WNDR3300 because it doesn't actually exist.

Reset your Netgear WNDR3300. If a configuration error has been stored in your Netgear WNDR3300's memory, this could prevent it from using the connected Internet modem. Hold down the "Reset" button on the back of your Netgear WNDR3300 until the unit powers off and then turns on again to fix this issue. Note that this will also reset your settings, so you will have to reconfigure your network security if you need to reset your wireless router.
