How to use a Notebook Webcam

Use a notebook webcam to keep in touch with friends and family.

A notebook webcam allows you to communicate with your colleagues, friends and family over the Internet. You can use free VOIP (voice over IP) programs like Skype, MSN Chat or Yahoo Messenger in order to do video chats, and it's the next best thing to being there. Most laptops come equipped with webcams, which makes it easy to stay in touch with your friends and family even when you are on the road.

Instructions

1. Boot up your computer and go to the "Start Menu." Click on the webcam application. When the window opens up you will see yourself if you are in view of the webcam.

2. Click on "Tools" and "Options" on the menu bar and adjust colors, contrast and brightness to your liking.

3. Go to the "Start Menu" and click on your VOIP program such as Skype, ICQ or MSN Chat.
