How do I Reload Nero?
Known for disc authoring and multimedia editing and viewing, the Nero software suite has been available since 1997. Consumers may purchase Nero at retail locations or via download. Your computer may have also shipped with Nero software. Although Nero 9 and Nero 10 are supposed to coexist peacefully, remove Nero 9 prior to installing Nero 10. For earlier versions of Nero, you must remove all versions of the software with the "Nero General CleanTool" prior to reloading the software.

Run the Nero General Clean Tool

Download the "Nero General Clean Tool" to your desktop or "Downloads" folder.

Double-click the "General-CleanTool.zip" file to extract the utility.

Double-click the "NeroCleanToolxxx.exe" (where "xxx" reads the current version number) file.

Click the boxes next to each Nero product installed on your computer in the "Nero Clean Tool" window.

Click the "Clean" button. Wait until the progress bar in the status window moves all the way to the right, then click the "Exit" button.

Restart the computer.
Install Nero

Insert your Nero installation disc, or double-click a downloaded installation file (see link in Resources section).

Follow the on-screen prompts to install Nero.
