How Do I Hook Up My Verizon FiOS HD DVR to My Panasonic DVD Recorder?

These composite cable plugs connect directly to the Panasonic DVD recorder.

The Verizon FiOS HD DVR records programs to an internal hard drive that eventually fills up with continued use. Transferring programs to a DVD makes it possible to delete some of the content off the DVR to create more room on the hard drive. Connecting a DVD recorder to your Verizon FiOS DVR is the answer. The connection requires a standard set of composite cables with RCA-type plugs on each end.

Instructions

1. Turn off the Verizon DVR and the Panasonic DVD recorder.

2. Push the white, red and yellow connectors on one end of the cable into the AV OUT jacks on the back panel of the Verizon FiOS DVR. The color stripes on the DVR jacks match the cable connectors.

3. Connect the other ends of the cable to the AV IN jacks on the rear of the DVD recorder.
