How Do I Adjust the T/C on a Patio Heater?
Patio heaters warm a space using liquid propane (LP) gas cylinders. The temperature control (T/C) knob includes settings to light the pilot and change the temperature. The reflector cap on the top of a patio heater deflects the warmth down from the flame at the top. Does this Spark an idea?

Tips & Warnings
Waiting 5 minutes with the patio heater in the off position allows any gas in the system to clear to avoid an explosion.
Patio heaters with an electronic ignition control emit a spark to light the pilot light for operation.
The "Low" temperature on a patio heater supplies about half of the heat as the "High" setting on the T/C knob.
Check all gas fittings on a patio heater before the first use of a season to ensure all connections are tight and not leaking.
If a hot heater blows out, wait at least five minutes before relighting it so that excess gas clears the system.
Never leave children unattended near a patio heater.
