How do I Register a URL or Website with Dogpile?
Dogpile is a widely used search engine. It has a simpler interface than most search engines, making the search itself the central point of the page rather than overwhelming it with links, news items and endless ads. Many people would like to get their site listed with Dogpile, especially those who have business sites. You cannot, however, submit your site to Dogpile the way you can with other sites. Dogpile is a compilation of the top searches from other sites, bringing them all together into one. To get listed with Dogpile, you have to take a different approach.

1
List your site with other search engines like Yahoo, Google and AltaVista. You do this by going to their site submission pages (see "Resources") and submitting your site URL and name. Keep in mind when you do this that it may take a very long time before your site actually shows up in the searches.
-
2
Create links from your site to other sites on the Internet, such as by using banner exchange links. Many (though not all) of the search engines are influenced by this and will rank you higher.

3
Go to forums and blogs and mention (in relevant discussions) your site. For example, if your site sells bathroom faucets, visit forums related to this topic. Do not just drop a text ad in the middle of a thread. Instead mention it as it relates to the topic under discussion.
