There are many different types of image formats (including JPEG, PNG, GIF and BMP). While the original image can be saved in a number of different formats, any of them can be converted to a PDF file using Windows. All you need is the default Windows Picture and Fax Viewer that is pre-installed with the Operating System and a PDF program. Adobe Acrobat is one of the most popular. It can be downloaded directly from the website. There are also less expensive alternatives such as novaPDF, and even free ones like CutePDF.
