White ink allows you to write and design on dark-colored surfaces and add shading details to skin art. It is also an easy recipe to follow, making it a convenient ink to whip up in your kitchen.

Add the witch hazel to the glass ink bottle.

Add in the titanium dioxide powder. Titanium dioxide, a natural material, is completely white. It is what gives natural items like inks, dyes and lotions the white color. It can be easily obtained in craft and hobby supply stores or online.
Step 3
Put the lid on the glass bottle and shake it vigorously for about two minutes. Make sure you shake it until the mixture becomes white and foamy. Titanium dioxide is a very powdery material with the consistency of flour, so it must be thoroughly dispersed into the witch hazel.
Tip
White ink proves to be an excellent base for specialty inks such as neons and shimmer gels. Simply add glitter to the white ink for a shimmery touch. Adding the florescent liquid from a glow stick to the ink makes it glow in the dark!
