How to Reset the Wireless on an Acer Aspire One
Initially released in 2008, the Acer Aspire One line of netbooks sports Linux, Windows XP or Windows 7 operating systems. The Aspire One utilizes Intel Atom processors and screen sizes ranging from 8.9 inches to 10.1 inches. All models ship with a built-in wireless switch on the front, lower right panel of the netbook. The wireless switch makes it easy to reset the built-in wireless antenna. You may also use the Windows operating systems' networking features to repair or to disable and re-enable a wireless network connection.

Reset Via the Switch

Move the wireless switch, which is located on the lower right section of the netbook, to the right to turn off the wireless.

Wait 10 to 15 seconds. The wireless switch will reset to its original position.

Slide the switch to the right again to power on the wireless. Give the Acer Aspire One a few seconds to restart the wireless connection.
Reset Via Windows

Right-click your wireless icon in the system tray. The icon will look like a computer with waves to the right in Windows XP or cellular phone signal bars in Windows 7.

Click "Open Network and Sharing Center" and your "Network" in Windows 7 or "Open Network Connections" in Windows XP.

Right-click the "Wireless Network Connection" in Windows XP. Click "Repair" to reset the wireless. Right-click the "Wireless Network Connection" in Windows 7. Click "Disable." Wait a few seconds, then right-click the "Wireless Network Connection" again in Windows 7. Click "Enable."
